What You Will Need
Two to three times per day for five days, 30 minutes before meals, take one teaspoon psyllium and one tablespoon bentonite mixed in cold apple juice. Shake well and drink immediately followed by one eight-ounce glass of water.
Drink 8 glasses of water per day. Your diet should consist of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, soy products such as tofu, or soy protein.
Limit intake of animal protein to every other day (fish, chicken, turkey, eggs). Avoid red meat or pork products during this time. Also avoid all mucous forming foods such as dairy, sugar, and white flour or enriched products.
Juice fasting is a good option, and a great way to detoxify. Use fresh squeezed vegetable juices such as greens or carrot juice. Or you can use raw, unfiltered apple cranberry juice. Never mix juices. Stick to either vegetable juices OR one type of fruit juice. Drink one glass of juice, then in one hour, drink a glass of distilled water. Repeat throughout the day, ending at about dinnertime. Always dilute fruit juice with distilled water, especially grape juice to 50% juice/50% water.
You can expect to experience some of the following symptoms during your detoxification and cleansing process. It means your body is releasing toxins, poisons and impurities. Rehydration by drinking more water and enemas, or colonics are an important part of flushing away these toxins and should be performed each of the five days you are on this detox diet.
